We have written a new three year plan to tackle crime and disorder and drug and alcohol issues in the borough.
Every three years the Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership (RSCP) is required to conduct an audit, and then develop and implement a plan to reduce crime, disorder, and drug misuse. Information is gained from a wide range of sources to give a picture of the levels and patterns of these issues across the borough. The plan will direct the partnership in tackling the identified issues and areas of concern relating to crime and disorder and to improve the quality of life in the borough by addressing associated drug and alcohol misuse.

The following strategy is the first alcohol strategy for the borough of Rochdale and sets the context in which all agencies will work to address the problems associated with alcohol use. The strategy focuses upon 3 key areas;

Tackling domestic violence requires a multi-agency response. In Rochdale many local agencies have a vital part to play in supporting victims, bringing perpetrators to account and raising awareness. This is the first domestic violence strategy in the borough. It provides a strategic framework to support the further development of co-ordinated and cohesive arrangements to prevent and combat domestic violence.
